Default K&N Filter question

So I was at autozone picking up some oil and stuff for a tune up. And was looking for air filters and decided to go look at the k&n filters just for the h*** of it. As I was looking at the cone filters they had, I was trying to figure out how they attach them to the intake plumbing. There was no lip or anything to slide a peice of pipe or tube over and clamp it down. Are you supposed to buy some other part to be able to use the filter? That would be kind of crappy. Thanks in advance.

Courtney

Courtney,
you'll need to buy an intake to make that cone work. A search of the products section will educate you on your options for your MY. Or the cheaper method is just a K&N panel drop-in filter.

well that sucks, I wanted to kinda make my own using a k&n filter. I'll have to find some one with the whole kit thing and take a look at it. Thats the best part is kinda making your own thing, at least I think so.
later,
Courtney

If you are into the DIY thing, look at the Ganz Flow. Not to rip Larry off or anything, but other people have copied it.
