Default Welcome to NASIOC, where the vendors rule!!!

They can get away with anything. Most are good, but the bad ones...well, they suck. And the best part is, nobody will do anything about it! No matter the countless bad reviews, the breaking of the posted rules, the awful customer service. The list just keeps going.

I got some nice threatning emails from a certain vendor about how they are going to sue me for slander. They said "You will be hearing from my lawyer". Still waiting...

I have them all saved and have forwarded them to my Lawyers just in case.

I'll let you make up your opinion on who it is.

I'm not kidding.
I was going to post all the email a couple months ago but Iwanted to clear it with Nick first. He said no, so I didn't do it.

I doubt it matches though. his were pretty personalized.

I can PM you an excerpt from one of them that might watch though.

Nah, we'll get some jibberish about how emails are private to both parties, or something like that. I don't want to get back into it.

I want to assure you that your statements above are 100% false. I'm sorry you feel the way you do, and I and many other moderators understand why.

We as moderator do everything we can to prevent poor situations on this site with Vendors. We can't get involved with the business practice or customer service issue with vendors though. Think of the classified ads here as a "Want Ad" that is published in the paper, but we use the internet. The people who own the "Want Ad" don't get involved with the folks who advertise within their paper, nor does autotrader.com , etc..

With that said, I can only suggest again that it is up the members to continue speaking your mind, telling your stories, etc.. in the Vendor Review forum. If you have a serious isssue with a specific vendor, feel free to e-mail any moderator on this site or listed on that forum. Members need to speak out, and also do their homework before purchasing. W/o getitng into names, I am personally stunned that folks here continue to buy for certain folks. All the info is in that review forum, and folks just don't read it. Making an uneducated purchase is something we can't be held responsible for. Please don't take my comments the wrong way. That wasn't intended at anyone specifically.

Nick is in charge of the Vendor registration and the advertisment fees. He is very busy and he leaves it up to the moderators to let him know whatr's going on. Mayve we aren't doing that enough? I don't know. E-mail him directly at nick@nasioc.com if you feel stong about this issue. We are trying our best, but for every complaint on this site, there are 10 others who are happy. We try to keep everyone happy, which is very difficult.

I feel pretty strong that if the members on this site wanted a Vendor off the site it would happen. We don't just let them do what they want. It's just very hard to police, and the line we can't cross is also hard to define.

Also,
there is no reason for this to be locked. Keep this as a fair discusion and it won't be. We want to hear what the members think.

Don't forget though, the fee's paid by these vendors support this site and help keep the site free for all of us. Money is not going into someones pocket so to speak.

Paul G.

Paul, while you know much more about the practices of the site than I do, I have to disagre with you a little on this one.

My reasoning is as follows:

Nick gets paid by these vendors, which is 100% fine. I would do that too. But by him being paid by them, he is basically saying these are our recommended dealers.

And for him to profit off of a bad vendor while his members are getting screwed by them is just wrong. If enough members have a gripe with a certain vendor, than Nick should get rid of the vendor and allow his other paying vendors (that people like) to gobble up those customers and profit off of them.

BUt, that's just my opinion.

Edit: Nick, this is in no way a bash on you at all.
