Default sterio ideas

Hey all,
I am just trying to get a idea of what I can and can't do in a Baja. I am planning to purchase a Baja turbo and instead of purchasing the sterio and alarm upgrades. I plan to go aftermarket. I am sensitive to too mutch base and too mutch high end noise. I know that there isn't mutch room for a sub, but I don't really want a really big one. I really don't want the car next to me feeling the base. I think that is too mutch. so my question is: What have any of you done and how mutch did it cost? I already know which alarm that I want. Pics would be great. If you can't find a place to place them on the web. PM me and I will give you my e-mail and I can put them up, temporarly, on my server.

Thanks,

Ben

honestly just go simple speakers, and headunit. price is up to you as is features. I personally am a big fan of mb quarts amazing sound. Also alpine makes some pretty good looking units packed w/ features. However the down side to both these is price. They are def. not the cheapest on the market. Honestly if you want something nice but want to save money. Do the install yourself so you don't get docked the charges most shops charge.

hope that helps

so sub issue then. What would you do? the OEM or should I talk to some of the shops around to find out what they can do? Price is not the only factor that I will be lookin at. Features and sound quality are more important to me.

well to put it in perspective- it is going to cost me 350 for a custom sub box alone, I have my sub already but you would have to add the price of that into the installation. And i have NO idea how it would sound. I say go factory if you want to see how it sounds ask on of the service guys to sit you in a car on the lot w/ the upgraded sound package.

$.02
