First get a NOS ECU map tuned for your car.
You have a few choices regarding launching your car with nitrous :

1- Brake torque and bring your RPM around 3100 if it is stock turbo, let the brakes go and spray.

2- You can let it spray all 1/4 mile or every time just before it shifts turn it off and and after shift turn back on, that will save your tranny.
With different runs your car may start pulling timing due to NOS.
Tunning and lot of tunning that is the key.

Your TC stall maybe is setup for 4100 rpm. Try different things and see what is the best for you.
The best advise that I can give you is:

Do not spray below 3100 rpm and not more than 50 shot with stock EJ20.

Default Yep

Listen to Sap, he knows his stuff. I was a fool and launched right off of the line. As soon as I took my foot off the gas pedal, I flicked the switch. My 1st tranny went but my 2nd rebuilt tranny never had a problem. If you start launching with nitrous, it'll become addictive. I never learned anything (since nothing negative became of this, only positive) so I'll continue to do it since it worked out great for me.

Heed Saps words though! It's good advice that you should follow.

Kevin where did you rebuilt your tranny ?
I have no problems with mine but, I am thinking to go with more serious power and for that I think that I need better tranny. Did you go with Level 10?
I have a chance of getting a 2001 RS 2.5 tranny. Is it the same that we use on the 02 WRX? If that is the case I can send that one to get upgraded and still drive my car.

Thanks
