Cool iON Sport Spec '04 WRX & WRX STi Sport Springs (No need to use 02/03 rear strut top!)

These springs are made for us by a very competition savvy company. All springs are manufactured under a quality system certified as complying with ISO-9001:2000 All the springs feature high chromium content steel, and are finished with a yellow powdercoat.

They'll lower the MY04 WRX ~1.2" F&R, and lower the STi ~1.2" F&R. These springs feature progressive rates for both F&R. They make the cars even more neutral handling at the limit without compromising comfort at lower less "spirited" speeds.

We've got 6 sets of MY04 WRX Sport Spec Springs, and 3 MY04 WRX STi Sport Spec Springs left.

MY04 WRX - $259US + shipping
MY04 WRX STi - $299US + shipping.

*Note prices are for payment via MO. CC available only via Paypal; subject to 5% equalization fee*

Enigma76 - these can be used on stock struts, ideally you'd want to replace the struts @ the same time if you can afford to. This will save you labour as well as give you even more precise handling. The MY02-up AGX's would be a good match to the springs.

So far of those who have installed the Sport Spec springs on their stock MY04 struts love the ride and handling characterisitics. The life of the struts will ofcourse be reduced.

Scuba Steve - here's a picture of what your STi would look like with the Sport Spec springs specific for the STi.

Looks good. You wouldn't happen to have a side view shot with the wheels straight would you? Thanks allot!

Roswellj07 - Justin shipping would run $25US, so your total shipped would be $284US for payment via MO (or $298.20US via Paypal sales@ionperformance.com is our paypal address ).

We have only a few sets left. They're ready to ship upon getting payment.

Hi Jack,

I am still debating whether to buy these. The drop looks good from the picture, but I really need to see a side view, which you said you dont have. Can you tell me based on your opinion how the drop looks? Is there still a wheel gap in the front that will look weird? Does it look even and clean? I just need a better description, because I want it to be a nice looking and low drop.

Thanks, Justin

ur springs seem to offer the same drop front and rear, I was looking at a bigger drop in the front to offer a more even out leveled look.

Roswellj07 - please note that the picture is of the STi w/ the STi Sport Spec springs. If you used this on the WRX, it will drop your car ~2.2" F&R.

If you're looking for the lowest drop, then those would be the springs to get out of the two. You will compromise your strut life though by dropping it that much.

zacek - pictured is the STi w/ the sport spec springs. The WRX w/ sport spec springs will only be lowered 1.2" F&R. Depending on how much wear you have on your bushings etc, the drop will vary slightly. These springs are for MY04 only.

darn, since the front stock wheel gap is 3 inchs and back wheel gap is 2 inchs. it's better not to have the same drop back and front right?

kitbar - the stock height of the car F&R is actually even. The wheel gap you see is associated with the larger fender opening for the fronts.

The springs are rated as 1.2" F&R lowering, however since the front of the car is slightly heavier, it will be slightly lower.

If you've seen a set of the Prodrive springs on a MY04 w/ the MY02/03 strut tops, it'll look very similar to that.

what are the spring rates (front and rear) for the wrx sport springs? And will there be much of a greater drop in the rear for the wagon?
