Default Cobb Stage 2 without a full TBE?

I'm just about ready to pull my stock ECU and get the Cobb Stage 2 reflash.

Thing is, I don't yet have a full TBE. I have the catless uppipe and downpipe, the rest of my exhaust is stock. What can I expect from this reflash?

Cobb say I will not get the full Stage 2 performance, which I understand. But is there anything else I need to know, such as CELs or any "bad" things that could happen?

If it helps, my car is an 04 running 91 octane.

Thanks in advance!

-matt.

Talking Cobb Stage 2

Matt You can run stage 2 without a full exhaust set-up. To take full advantage of the re-flash get the exhaust opened up from the downpipe back. Don't forget to have Cobb nix the o2 sensor in the rear at the re-flash. I've got the stage 2 with TurboXS turbo back and I love it.

Great! I'll run Stg 2 ECU now, then do the rest of my exhaust later. Which I plan to do, I just haven't decided what I want. And have only limited funds at this point, so want most for my $.

Thanks for the nfo!

Since I'm on a budget (i.e. nagging wife ), I don't have a full TBE with my Cobb stage 2 either and it works great with no problems at all.

Someone posted about his dyno run at Cobb with his similar setup (Bosal DP, STi uppipe, Prodrive muffler) and he was getting 219 whp and identical torque numbers so figure about 5-6 whp less than a full TBE...not bad at all.
