Default Intercooler splitter for GC8 with STi engine/intercooler?

I have an STi engine in my 2000 RS and have no idea where to look for a splitter or air director to get air through the IC. Will a GD one fit the underpart of the hood and also line up with the IC as well as having enough clearance under there? If anyone has done this or has any ideas please help me out. Thanks.

Rallispec has em. 100 dollars. Its under engine components, turbo and intercooling section on their website.

Thanks, which one though? I know the GD one will fit the IC, but will it fit the hood and have enough room? And won't the GC one be too small since the older TMIC's were smaller? Are you using one with your engine?
I tried calling you Thursday night, but phones were acting wacky because of the blackout.

no, Just a WRX IC with GD splitter. Rallispec has an STi sliptter with the mounts for the IC sprayers that I am going to get. I might have a line on a V7 IC, though I might just wait since cash is low and get the Vishnu next spring.

Oh ok, because the Ver. 7-8 STi IC is bigger so the "GC8" or regular WRX splitters are too small and I don't know if the new age splitters will work with my chassis/engine combo. Thanks though.

GD splitters will not work with the GC hoods. the bolt locations are different and cannot be mated up, I tried.

people have been known to get a GD splitter and just mark where the holes need to be and make them yourself. cheap and workable option.

Hope this helps. I'm not sure they fit perfect, but if you do order please let us know how it turns out! Or you can try to get a newer age JDM STI one and make it fit. /shrugs/
