Lately I have been noticing a lot of ants in my car. I will find them inside the car as well as inside in my engine bay. I don't keep any food in the car or anything that would cause them to come in. My car is always parked in my driveway. I have sprayed raid all over my car and throughout the engine bay but they still manage to come back. I don't know what to make of it except maybe that I have some fluid that is leaking that they are attracted too. I haven't noticed anything leaking lately and so I am clueless as to what is going on. I don't really have a problem with them in the engine bay cause they fry as soon as my engine gets hot, I am just worried about them eating some wiring and short circuiting my car. Has anyone had similar problems, or know of a solution. I own a 99 Legacy SUS and it has no mods done to it yet if that helps.

Look for antifreeze leaks. They like antifreeze.
They wont eat anything, I wouldnt worry about it. |

Wash the floor of the area where you park your car really thoroughly with nasty cleaners and a brush. Ants lay down scent trails and will keep coming back unless you clean those off. Also, sometimes a colony will just get it in its mind to come to a certain area. Set up some ant poison bait stations around the outside of your parking area and see if you can get them to go to those instead.

After you check your coolant leak. Clean your driveway with bleach. And you must not be using RaidMax because there'd be dead ants.
