random queries online brought me to a dealer in the U.K. with a car I had never seen before, The Ford RS200, based on the Escort Cosworth.
2.1 liter , 4-wheel drive turbo. I've seen the Escort Cosworth many times, but this thing looks awesome! Any in the US, or is this a case of the US having the Rustang as the best thing Ford produced? ![]() ![]() |

I think it was a UK only car. It was produced for (I believe) Group B rally, there were only 200 ever produced (hence the name RS200) and I believe they have the fastest 0-60 time ever, something like 2.8 seconds.

Reminds me of a Scirocco or a Corrado that mated with a Porsche 956
![]() With that 0-60 time, the looks, the handling, etc, I'd buy a Ford! Bry. |

There were only 124 RS200 evolutions built in 1986......They were produced to compete in the world rally competition of the day. They were soon banned because they were too fast and therefore dangerous for the races....
The Ford/Cosworth engine was rated at 600 hp, and they would go from 0-60 in 2 seconds..... I know where the last undriven example is for sale, for $135,000 |

that is where OD comes in handy. Pop that baby in the OD, and just watch the speedo go around for another rotation
