My buddy had his WRX Wagon fenders rolled at Daland Autobody in South San Francisco. They did a great job.

chop those suckers off... speaking of which. i'll be taking my dremel to my hacked fenders soon. kinda makes me want to cringe, but nothing can be worse than the shape they're in now.

i didn't get them rolled, i rolled them. i used a few layers of blue masking tape, i went slow, i tried to be careful, and the paint still cracked. a heat gun is a crucial part of the equation, as is a proper tool. i wouldn't use anything less than the Haweka fender rolling tool, which is no longer sold in the north american market.

Default crack happens

Your paint WILL crack. Going slow and using heat doesn't seem to help all that much. Sorry. That's Subaru's way of keeping the price down. Be prepared to spend some time with the touch-up bottle and/or sandpaper.

Happy Motoring

I went to Sacramento Motoring Accessories and despite the fact that they used a heat gun and the proper tool, I got some paint cracking. All of the cracking was on the underside and easily fixed with a file, some sandpaper, and touch-up paint.

The little bit of cracking and subsequent work was a whole lot better than having my tires eaten up on sharp right handers. Total cost was $80 for the two rears.

On a side note, I think Subaru used the thinnest paint known to mankind to paint our cars.
