Unhappy STi woes

Man, I'm sad and angry at the same time. Today I decided to put some miles onto my car so I could get an oil change when I get my rear bumper sprayed (3 marks I didn't like and the dealer is going to take care of it). So I drive out and I get to Cupertino and what happens? Some Eclipse with HID follows me for a good 5 minutes. When I was at the turn light, he didn't even get next to me, he even turned off his lights and was 3 car lengths away. Made me feel like he was going to steal my car! Then he proceeds to tail me at about 10 car lengths away. I pull into a street that I'm familiar with and I u-turn and turn off my lights to see if he still follows. Well, he didn't take the bait. Weird guy. Then I drive to find some gas for cheap (I got it for 2.09 then found it for 2.05... bah!) But before I got to the gas station, some guy's car piece (don't know what piece) was on the road and I didn't see it in the dark. BAM! I smash it and all I hear is, CRUNCH CLUNK. That made me sad so I pull into AMC 14's parking lot and I run out to see what i had run over. While I was there some bastard guy in his Corolla S shifts into reverse and reverses super fast and just stares at me. I go back to my car and I get out of the parking lot and he's completely on my ass. Him and his black Civic buddy follow me out. I shifted slowly cause I didn't want to race or attract anymore attention. The guy tails me, goes into the lane at my right, and then cuts me off and speeds off. His Civic buddy does the same thing. While that happened they broke in front of me and I hit my clutch just as I was about to shift into third and my foot was still on the gas while I was trying to hit my brakes, my revs hit 5000... and I only have 685 miles on my car. . Damn, that was my bad but still, he broke in front of me for no reason. Bastard.

I love my car and I don't even race or give anybody dirty looks and they all hate me and my car. This just made my day so much worse.

Bad drivers /gives finger.. bastards.

Any how, I just felt like I'd share this. Totally a bad day of driving. I even said sorry to my baby when I got back into her and kissed the steering wheel. Ok, I know I'm weird :P but I love my car!

Get use to having cars follow you. Your STi is a rare speciman that everyone wants to get a closer look.

Yeah, I think you're right. But I feel like I hurt my baby *sniffle*. My car is so nice to me and I accidentally pushed her to 5K, do'h! Those punk drivers *shakes fist in air* I hope they get jacked by cops.

I believe it's 4K. The dealer told me so and also says in the manual (i believe). It's a white STi with silver rims. I don't have any pictures online, I think my host is overloaded or my host decided to pull the pics down. But, I believe there is a thread on i-Club that has pictures from Krispy kreme..

Here's a picture:

This is Doug's website, he does some of the most awesome pictures I've seen in a while. By the way, that White STi next to the Silver EVO is actually my car. Hehe.

5k isn't going to hurt your car. As long as it doesn't happen all of th time, anyway.

On another note, who's blue Wrx was that with the bashed in passenger side. Was the Dentpro guy able to get it all out??

you know what the problem is? Your car is SICK!

Nice job on the white - I'm sure it sticks out more than the WRB cars, and the black and silver ones sort of blend in more.

Don't sweat those lurkers they are just jealous - just give a smile and a nod, turn up the radio, set the cruise and ignore...

Except there is no radio...yet

Don't worry about it guy! It's just something you're going to have to deal with while the car is still new and fresh in everyone's mind. They're just jealous because you have the car most of us really want

Damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear. I hope everything is ok. Don't worry about those idiots when you drive. If they do bug me or whatever, I'll just look @ them and laugh which usually confuses them or makes them angry. Good luck and there's always bad days. Just as long as the next one is better is all that matters.

Dont worry about it, but get use to it, i had a guy follow me so closely that when we turned in a double left turn lane he drifted into my land and slammed into me and almost took off my whole front end of my bodykit, then he argued about it being his fault but my insurance took care of his ass

You just did yourself a favor:

Break in is one of the most controvercial topics out there. I followed factory recommendations, but to each his own...

Wait, outferno, were you in Fremont, say, Saturday night? Cuz if so, saw you on Mission Blvd entering 880. Unfortunately I couldn't catch up.

from what I have heard from people a little push every now and again after 500 miles is actually better for the motor...seals expand and set. Just don't hammer it all the time or all that often for that matter....I actually talked to a dealership tech person that was pretty cool and open about it.

5k isn't gonna kill your car...but running stuff over might.

as for jerks cutting you off..it's the nature of having a nice car....they feel the need to show off. It was like that with my honda and it's like that already with my stinking bone stock wrx wagon. been 10 days and I have been messed with a few times already....once I start modding it I am sure it will increase...no big deal....long as they don't do anything stupid and dangerous...like they apparently did to you....makes me want to consider a blow off valve...a small reminder to leave me alone.

I'm actually considering a BOV because I love the sound, but I think it only attracts more attention. My spoiler does enough of that, hehe.

Fremont on Saturday Night... hrm, I don't think I was unless the Tapioca Express I went to was in Fremont.
