Default Cobb Access ECU: Fireballs after Reflash w/full Turboback?

Just like the title says.

I currently have a catless uppipe and full turboback exhaust with BOV vented to atmosphere. Will the Stage 2 Cobb reflash still produce fireballs (technically, afterfire) ouu the exhaust on up and downshifts?

Anti-lag system - cool. Of course that is bad for your turbo. Try switching to a 50/50 bov.

So does anyone know the answer to the actual question?

I'm asking because the stock WRX ECU is known to run rich. I would liek to know if the Cobb Access ECU will produce the same conditions, hence the fireballs.

It really depends on the map they load as to what AFRs you will get. The stock ECU does run rich, as it should with this motor. After market ECUs run rich as well for safety. Part of your problem is probably your BOV as you are venting off metered air, which causes an even more rich condition between shifts. One question I would ask is what is igniting the fuel in your exhaust? How high are your EGTs?

Try putting your stock BOV back on and see if it still breathes fire.
