Will the intake snorkle from a 2.5RS fit my 1.8, no one makes an intake for the 1.8. And Im already saving for a conversion, but it will be awhile till I have a place to do it.

By snorkle do you mean everything before the throttle body...or are you referring specifically to only the "snorkle" inside the passenger fender.

In either case you can "easily" retrofit an entire factory intake from any Impreza up to MY98. Don't mess with a '99 or the newer MAP intakes.

FYI, the Impreza chassis was relatively unchanged from 93-01, if you have the knowledge and $$$$ you can swap in any part from a newer model.

You don't have to limit yourself to intakes bent for MAF cars. You can still use the 99+ intakes too. At the most you make a slice in the tube to fit the MAF inline and buy 2 more silicone couplers.

I'm running a RalliSpec intake on my 96L. Like you I'm building up to the LRS conversion, but money keeps finding it's way to other places....

That helps alot, its hard to find parts for the 1.8, but the 2.5 has parts everywhere.
