Default No ej25 engine wiring harness, what to do???

I am doing a 2000 Ej25 swap into my 94 1.8L. I have everything for the swap except for this harness. What are the other alternatives in harness's or will i have to get a 2000 rs25 engine wiring harness? is there any other options i have to choose from. wiring harness cost an arm and a leg from the dealer and they are are hard to come by from private sellers so if anybody knows other options to what i can do for a harness in my swap let me know.

thanks
Aaron

What ECU are you going to use?
Do you have the engine wiring harness? There are three harnesses possibly involved in swaps; bulkhead, engine, and instrument panel.
Which dash and instrument cluster are you going to use?

hey- have u read my ej18-->25 conversion?

just run the EJ25 with a 1.8L ecu. it'll run fine. with the 00 SOHC motor, youll need a couple things, ask hawk296 hes done it into his 95. realistically, its not really worth the effort to runt he stock 2.5L ecu to go through al hte wiring, u might as well do the 2.0 turbo swap for that kinda effort. u can get the ej20g for about the same price as u probbbly paid for your ej25, we look at the 25 as a temporary solution tot he ej18.

anyway, PM me for more exacting details or post.

can i use my 1.8L wiring harness if i use my stock ecu?? what other parts of the harness will i need. i am pretty sure i will need a different harness for the instrument panel and gauge cluster right??. what will the differences be if i use my 94 ecu verses the 00 ecu.

hey- basically, trick the car taht it has a really frekin big 1.8L.

you'll have to use the ej18 engine wiring harness - under the intake manifold, the sensors should be the same however, the ej18 throttle body, ej18 coil packs. hawk296 's car required special custom spark plugs, youllhave to ask him or look his posts up for that one, and on the later sohc ej25's youll have to make a block off plate for the throttle body to make the correct ports happen on the 1.8L throttle body to intake manifold junction. also, if your engine was an auto, you wont need to worry about the crank trigger sensor, but if ti was a manual, youll need to swap the sensor from your 1.8L on instead. (requires removing timing belt - a tedious job)

if u need a crank pulley, i have one from my old 1.8. or if your 1.8 is toast, tear the sucker apart for it.

oil pump / water pump / thermostat/ radiator cap/oil pan/ almost all sensors are all the same for ej18 and ej25.

youll also have the splice the connector ends for the injectors to run the 2.5 injectors (i didnt bc my 2.5 was a 98)

anyway, read my post on the swap, it might make things make more sense, ro it might not.

use your stock guage cluster, and everything. just swap out longblocks basically.

the only disadvantages?
6K redline, less aggressive fuel maps, little less power-

advantages?

a mad lot of time $$$ in wiring issues.

u might as well do a EJ20 swap for that kinda hassle.
