Default Anyone get work done at Altered Atmosphere Motorsports?

like the title says. I just wanted to know since I may get them to install my springs. Basically, I lack the tools and knowledge to do this, so I'm taking it to someone else. Just wanted to know the quality of work they did and if they're prices are reasonable. Thanks!

never got anything done there, but i can tell you that they know what they're doing - the son in the "father/son team" is a friend of a friend

they suck bigtime

they screwed up that r32 that was for sale a while back, and i mean they completely screwed it up. everything had to be redone.

They also repeatedly screwed up my friends mr2 turbo and several other friends' cars.

honestly never take your stuff to them, they never care about their work and really aren't anything special in terms of knowledge.

take it to steve on these boards. i approve of his work.

Altered is more of a warehouse than a customer-oriented garage. They do know what they are doing, but only to their own cars (like the Supra, Hondas, and The Stealths/GTOs). Springs are easy to install on a subie.. just have to rent or buy a pair of spring compressors from the local automotive "ricer" store. You can find all the tools you need from there to convert ANY car into a RICEMOBILE (that also means lowering the car incredibly low).

I can do the spring install, it's not hard, just a little time consuming.

Nardo / mesaro,

Like Keefe said, springs are very easy. Just a couple few hours' wrench time, an air/impact gun and a set of spring compressors will do it.

If you feel like driving down to Waldorf, a friend of mine and I can do it for you in an afternoon for $75. We have all the tools and have done it about 10-12 times or more.
