okay. so having to find this out on my own, this is what ive learned (rallispec = smart)
the gc8 turbo flywheel is 225mm bolt pattern, it takes 225mm clutch disc, and pressure plate gda turbo flywheel is 230mm, 230mm clutch disc and pressure plate for 230mm. newer = bigger. throwout bearing, pilot bearing are compatible, im guessing that old ej22 legacy has the same clutch setup as the impreza GC8 turbos, so it would use 225mm bits. can anyone verify that / measure it? if u want to use GDA complete clutch setup (incl. flywheel) with GC8 turbo car trans, it shoudl work just fine. other way around too, if u are in a pinch or weird funny situ. cools h

GC8 turbo? aftermarket? one thing is Gc8 is push type clutch and US WRX and JDM WRX are pull type clutch. Totally different design. Pressure plates are different and throwout bearings. Also, the slave cylinder for clutch is different. Oh ok i guess you are talking about legacy tranny not 2.5rs. Still helpful info.

gc8 turbo is refering to JDM where real gc8's exist. there are no actual gc8's that were USDM sold.
im talking about the gc8 body style Japense turbo transmission taht came on the turbo car. just to clear it up. all turbo trans have the same setup. h |
