I have a rallitek intake and MRT full headerback exhaust on my '99 DOHC 2.5. I've heard that intakes can really mess up the A/F ratio on MAF's and I'm really curious to see how my engine is running before I think about getting an S-AFC or ProECM chip to change my A/F ratio. I'm looking at a Split Second ARM 1 Meter - Part# SPOAFCM from rallitek.com. Is this what I'm looking for to determine whether my A/F ratio has been messed up by my mods? Do I need this? I'm just worried that my mods aren't performing as well as they could.

Borrow a high accuracy volt meter and print out the voltage to A/F ratio chart. No reason to buy it just yet. Wire it up so you can watch it while driving (mount it somewhere, zip ties and double stick tape works great).

IIRC the rallitek intake was one of the few that actually worked well with the MAF? Do you have a lean spot around 5.5K?

Yeah I actually heard that too. I'm not sure if I have a lean spot. How can I tell? Would my exhaust radically change the A/F ratio? It would make sense that an intake would change it a lot more I guess.
