Exclamation STICKY: Linking to i-club

I know it's a pain in the butt when you try to post a link to i-club.com and it changes to nasioc.com, but, trust me, it's NOT done out of spite or malice.

The reason the script changes the URL is because, when the URL of this site changed from i-club.com to nasioc.com, there were lots of references to threads on this board that said i-club.com.

Nick added a Vb script to make sure that links to nasioc pages got to Nasioc pages. It was NOT done to annoy anyone or to make it so no-one can go to i-club.

But, just so you know, there are 2 easy ways to get around this..

1. leave out the "WWW" in the link, for example: http://i-club.com/forums/index.php?s= works just fine.

2. Capitalize the "I" in the url, for example: http://www.I-club.com/forums/index.php?s= works too.

I have no problem with people linking to i-club, but I am getting tired of people pissing and moaning about how "evil" and "childish" NASIOC is because of this slight inconvenience.

Thanks for understanding

Thank you so much for posting this. It's been said a ton of times but people still don't seem to get it. Hopefully some of the guys on i-club will see this and realize why it is in place, instead of bashing NASIOC for it.

No problem

Like it or not, there will be 2 boards for the forseeable future, so we might as well do our best to work together (at least in the Bay Area.)

I wasn't here when all the drama happened, so maybe I don't understand all the hate, but I think it is a waste. Most of the people that are members there are also members here, and lets face it, if you only read one BAIC forum, you're missing out on a lot of good stuff.

If you look carefully, there are really only a few people still bitching about NASIOC. Almost everybody has moved on and dealt with the situation. Personally, I think peaceful coexistence is just about established at this point. And yes, ignoring one board or the other does indeed cause one to miss a lot of good ish.

i dont know much about it what caused the split...i post on i-club a lot more and i havent heard anyone bitching about it...many people have tried to clear it up in a mature fashon...on a side note i think it would be gread if the two sites would become one again
