Default Pics of my modded Legacy OB

I just got some of my pictures together and wrote up all my modifications on this page.
http://www.alexdominey.net/subaru/

I pretty much started modding my car back in early June. I'm pretty happy with suspension but I'm still working on power. What should my next mod be?

I'm diggin the ride, it looks good. I would go with the Cobb tuning cams. They may give you a greater power increase over the chip.

Yeah I know but I sort of think of it as a Legacy now that I've turned it into a road car instead of an off-road car. I love the OB bumper and hood scoop on my car though.

If you want more power, you wouldn't believe what a turbo could do for you :-D

etam - the RA-1's are crazy grippy. They're real loud and they'll wear out in a minute, but I got them nearly for free so I couldn't turn down $640 of rubber. I haven't really had a problem with wet traction. Much better than my old Michelin XW4 truck tires

chicksdigwagons - i know a turbo would do a lot but i'm trying to keep my car super reliable. it's already got nearly 85,000 miles on it.

Very nice ride. I like the lowered outback look. Cool beans.

Everyone always told me it was impossible to get an OB to handle well but (at least for my model year) there are very few differences between the legacy and the OB. It's actually not to difficult to make a great handling car out of an OB.

That's because the Outback is still a great handling car in my books! Sure it may be a perched up high Legacy, but have you driven anything else lately?

When my car was in the body shop, I drove a similar vintage Civic. I know that the civic would be better compared to a Impreza, but still i was glad to get my car back.

Then while my clutch was being replaced I drove a Daewoo Leganza which wasn't too bad but still light years behind my OB!

My parents just bought a new Impala while friends bought a used Grand Prix. Impala is nice, but the suspension is way too soft compared to my car. As for the friends GP, its a newer car but its full of squeaks and rattles that my car doesn't have!

Last year I test drove a Nissan Maxima which was sooo nice, except for the torque steer all the way into next week! It was so bad that I didn't buy the car.

I might have considered going with the GT conversion as well, trouble is I had just bought new 15" tires, so to me that would have been a waste. That and the 15" snows on steelies would have been rubbing when they were on. Whtlegacy, your car looks great! Good luck and keep up the good work!

BTW - Best thing ever for an Outback is getting rid of those stupid Michelins that came with the car! Slap on some nice semi-performance rated tires and you'll be amazed at the difference!
