Default where to buy full face helmet CHEAP

im going to be heading up to PIR to get a few runs with my WRX but i need to buy a helmet first. Anyone know where i can buy a decent full face helmet around the beaverton portland area? I checked out Beaverton Honda and they had a huge selection of helmets but the cheapest i found there was $300 im not planning on keeping the helmet long since i only plan on racing this one time. i hardly race my car. someone please help me out.

Does PIR require SA rated helmets or can you get away with a motorcycle helmet? M rated helmets can be found for around $100, but SA helmets are much more expensive (as you found).

I think most events have rentals. Or try to borrow one. No point in buying if you're not going to use it much. And like Nick said look into the requirements. For the Proformance school they actually have everyone use an open face helmet so you can talk to the instructor. Closed face may not be necessary. You can also pick up closed face but visor-less G-force SA2000 helmets for $199 online.

at the track here i just had to get a dot & snell approved helmet. i just went to one of the cycle shops local here. $100
