where are the spark plugs located? how do i get to them? and what are the most recommended performance plugs? TIA

is the torque sequence a must since I dont have torque ranch?
Also, where can I get denso plugs? a serial # on the denso plug would be nice too

I'd go with NGK over Denso. NGK plugs are used as OEM on the WRX, work well, and are cheap. That's a hard combination to beat.

I would go with the stock heat range in copper if you haven't modified the car that much or one range colder if you have.

Get a little package of anti-seize compound for those plugs since the heads are aluminum. That way the threads won't gall. Plus it makes spinning them in much much easier.

If you don't have a torque wrench, you just kind of have to feel it out. Aluminum threads can strip with much less effort than iron threads. So be careful. I usually seat the spark plug then give it another 1/4 turn or less.

Oh and I like the NGK V-power plugs with stock heat range.

NGK V-powers are the best plug to ever use in a Subaru. Anything else is a waste of money. End of story.

I don't use a torque wrench. I jsut know about how tight they should be. If you are straining yourself to tighten them, then you're tightening them too much...
