Question How fast will my WRX be with a vf34

How fast will my WRx be with a vf34 along with walbro fuel pump and STI injectors? My mods are: Perrin up pipe, Perrin down pipe, perrin crank pulley, Perrin short ram intake, Perrin turbo inlet, Denso 1 stage colder sparkplugs, samco intercooler hoses, GT Spec intercooler splitter, STI Genome axelback, and cobb stage 2 reflash. I want gusses on 1/4 mile, wheel hp, and 0 to 60. Thanks.

0-60, probably at 4.8 sec; 1/4 mile, in the mid 12s for sure; WHP, I would say 280-ish.

Make sure you get your engine management updated. And at this time - I'm not sure if COBB has any "off the shelf" maps for your set-up. If not - then you'd have to go to Salt Lake City to get a custome dyno-tune.

If you have the right supporting mods and tune it well you should be able to run mid-high 12s.. A person I know has an VF34, with all the good mods to go along with it, but had IMO, a very conservative tune done (Ecutek by Metric subaru) and I win when racing from a roll in my stock turbo car So just goes to show you how important tuning is, there are a few stg.4+ cars running 13s, sometimes because of slow drivers, and sometimes because of tuning, or lack thereof.

I'd say with those mods you might want to think about ditching the stock TMIC for a larger unit.

^^

With those mods, I find it very hard to pull off a mid 12. You must be a good driver and have an aggresive tune for that.

Pretty much what you are running equals out to a TXS Stg4. I have seen guys with the same setup run high 12's.

You really won't know until you 1320 it. The trap speed will give a good indication of what you could run.

The 280 ish sounds about right...
I think High 12's 1/4 are more likely
and 0-60 better be faster than 4.8 as I hit that on my stage 2 (TD04 power baby) haha...

Can't wait to finish my turbo upgrade.

ditto, turboxs stage 2 had me at 4.8 0-60.

(however this was recorded using my gtech so it isnt necessarily 100% accurate)

I do not know about 0-60 but my buddy Brandon from Ultimate Racing with UR satge 3 setup that includes a VF30 did 12.475@108.12. He pulls mid 12`s all the time.

That's due to the excellent tuning Ultimate does as much as it is the actual mods.

I'm wrapping up installing

1. STI Rear Muffler
2. Gruppe-S headers
3. Bosal twin dump downpipe
4. Vishnu up-pipe
5. unichip
6. STI injectors
7. TXS TMIC
8. VF34

I'll be going to get it dyno tuned this weekend so I'll let you know how it turns out.

0-60mph is more driver skill than anything. A 1.75 sec 60' time with a low 8 sec 1/8 mile (mid to high 12 sec 1/4 mile) puts you in the 3.9 - 4.2 sec 0-60mph range. A stage 4 WRX is very capable of running these numbers.

Like I mentioned, this is based on driver skill at launching the car.

No, we just ran it to 16psi. I kinda wish we'd tested a 17 and 18psi just to see what difference it would have made.

Pretty happy with my current levels. Just need to find a high flow cat that works between the bosal DP and STI axleback.

0-60 should definitely be faster. When I was TXS Stage II I could manage consisten 4.7's and a best of 4.6. With Stage IV/VF22, the best I could muster was a 4.27. Now.... with the launch control, FMIC and ACT clutch it feels like 3.8-3.9 or so. Gonna have to make some G-Tech runs and find out. 1/4 mile is highly dependant on your 60' time. If you can pull off high 1.7X's/low 1.8X's then you should be capable of 12.7-12.9 or so on the stock IC. With 1.9's or 2.0 60ft's you're gonna be low 13's..... With an aftermarket intercooler and a new clutch/launch control you may be able to pull 12.5-12.7 more easily, though that is very fast for a VF34.

Not too smart for stock injectors... I'd imagine they were wide open.
