Lightbulb I hold in my hands the 2001 Impreza brochure...

...and the changes are (drum roll please):

The RS is availible in Black Diamond Pearl
Comes standard with the CD Player
Comes standard with the carbon fiber patterned trim.

The engine...is still N/A 165HP.
The tailights...are still amber/red
The tweeter kit & subwoofer...are still optional

Other than that...everythings the same!

Question

Have you seen the latest "Drive" yet? It looked like the did something funky with the air intake...ran it all the way up to the front of the engine, and made a long intake plenium that runs along the front of the car....odd. Me no want.

If they wanted to use a nice big opening then use the freaking hood scoop! Sheesh!

Post

There are no pictures of the 2.5 motor in the brochure, so I couldn't tell you if the intake had changed.

Another side note, no 5-door RS....yet!

That's a picture of a Legacy in Drive, not an Impreza. That is a standard Legacy intake.

What happened to the "standard" gauge pod on the center console???

I thought that it would be much more beneficial than the carbon fiber treatment to the dash...

The movie was Airheads: Brendan Fraser, Adam Sandler, and Steve Buscemi were the ones who took over the station.

Yes, I am sorry about the fact that I know this.

The picture in "Drive" is a 2000 Outback, not an RS.

Got my brochure by calling 1-800-SUBARU3 and requesting one, it only took 4 days to arrive in the mail. Even my local dealers don't have any!

The carbon fiber trim looks the same as last years "option", the sport gauge pack is still an "option" but it doesn't come standard.

oh and sounds like a start for changing the impreza carbon fibre standard, BLACK again...yipee, and cd standard, to me it sounds like they are trying at least. like the little engine that could, just give it time.
