On the dyno, a mildly modified car makes within 10-15% of it's max torque from 2000-5000 RPM with torque peak @ 4000 RPM. After 5000 RPM, the torque band falls off VERY sharply.

I am dyno testing a 100% stock car tonight so I'll know how it does but I figure the torque band is going to be very close to the same.

Is this the answer you were looking for?

Cheers,
Trey

That is a good question...I know where the peak is, but not the "band".

Trey...dyno testing a stock RS huh? Perhaps a baseline for the cam dyno testing?

Look at me...I am as giddy as a school girl!

Trey,

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch, and let me know what happens on a stock (as that is what I have ... for now ).

Interesting this came up... Last night I was thinking about how everyone seems to tune for horsepower increases. Is it possible to tune for torque increase in a specific range as well? I know they go hand in hand, so would you really need to do anything different?
