I bet the lower images of the seats in images 7 and 8 are the seats we will be getting. SOA probably wouldn't allow us to have those cool looking sport seats.

It's the Japanese WRX (Not the STI!!) and thats why it has 16 inch wheels,
and they are just too small!
I sat in the Euro version and the 17 inch are much nicer.
But I'd still go with the 247hp Japanese spec (and not the 215hp Euro) and just replace the wheels, cheaper!!!

Where lucky that SOA even gives us seats! First rule of thumb, if it looks cool and good, we aint getting it. Hey in the third pic (where you see the cam with the valves) I wonder if they’re talking about the variable valve system they use… What ever case were not getting it.

Has anyone else noticed that the 7-spoke wheel design (in image 6) looks suspiciously like the 6-spoke Audi S4 wheels? http://www.audiusa.com/cars/s4/ Not that it's a bad thing, in fact I think they look better than the 00/01 RS wheels. Mind you, I still like the gold 5 spoke (MY98) RS wheels the best.

The six spokes design is of the non turbo version,
it has 2.0l engine with 125hp (for Euro) and 150 (I think the Jap has),
it is 15inch so not relevant.

Hey, the NA car, in image 4, has a Hot film MAF sensor and its attached to a second air filter box just like an MY99. Yet the plumbing from that box to the front of the car(intake opening)is similar to a MY00-01. This car also has a vastly different plenum box. It's not right behind the TB any more. It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but it almost looks like it has a right angle throttle body.

I wonder what implications/applications this might have for MY99 owners? I wonder if the MAF is a new and improved version per the Bosch patent? I wonder if there would be any power gains with this set-up thrown on a MY99?

Edit
Actually it looks like this car has a redesigned intake manifold with a subtantially larger plenum volume than the manifold on our cars. This may have eliminated the need for the plenum/torque box that our cars have right behind the TB. The new box that this car has may simply be for noise reduction and pulse suppression on behalf of the MAF.

I wonder if future 2.5L engines are going to have a similar set-up? It could be partly responsible for some of the romured power gains for MY02 2.5L equipped cars. I recall someone posting that the MY02 2.5L engines are romured to have 175 peak HP.
