Default Dumb lady.

Ok...... i just got back from picking my sister up from college.

On the way back, when i exit the freeway on mission. A lady infront of me stop traffic and row down her window and ask me to turn my headlight off. Im like ***........ she said to turn my high beam off... so i said" i didn't turn it on, that my hid". I kept on sayin that and she was b*tchin at me and my sister.... So she got moded and left.....

So anyway... can you belivie people are that dumb..... Blocking traffic right on the freeway exit and dont know what hid is.......

O yea she was driving a mazda with 1 headlight working......

Just a thought - are your headlights aimed correctly? I've had people driving behind me with one or both lights aimed right at my inside rearview mirror and subsequently right into my eyes.

i hear they may make aftermarket hid's illegal because a lot of them are too damn bright. also if i were you..like for example put me in that same position. i probably would have been a dick to a person like that...rolled up my window flipped her off...its not nice, civil or respectful on my part but i still would have done it. haha.

HIDs came standard only on the STi, and they are reflector HIDs, not projection. The 2004 WRX comes standard with non-HID headlights. FYI, the "HIDs are illegal" law applies to California and some other states. It is not illegal everywhere in the US.

The specific verbage (http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/streetlegal.html) says:

Blue and yellow headlights. Headlights must be white - blue and yellow are illegal (24011 VC). Look for the DOT symbol on the bulb and package.

Headlights brighter or higher wattage than those from the factory. You may be able to see better, but the lights are illegal (24011 VC).

However, from personal experience, I can say that as long as your headlights are not aimed too high, you won't be hassled... as long as you don't draw further attention to yourself with a loud exhaust, loud stereo, etc.

I was in front of some dumbass in an X5 a while ago. We were sitting in traffic on 880, and ONE of his HIDs was completely misaligned. It was bright enough it was illuminating freeway signs 1/4 to 1/2 mile ahead of us. It was SO FREAKING BRIGHT right in my face

He was totally clueless. I had to spedn over 15 minuts right in front of this guy. About 5 minutes in I flipped him off, and he then flashed his brights as if to say "I don't have my brights on".

I was about to stop, get out and tell him what a dumbass he was, but I'm sure my actions would have been misinterpreted.

It was just the driver's side light, the passenger side was FINE. But he had no clue.

If people are angry at you about your headlights, take a step back and realize that they may have a reason to be if you haven't checked the alignment of your beam pattern lately. Those with RHD STis especially.

Werd!

My fog lights are misaligned, and i can't mfix them... can't figure it out, so i stopped running them, and will only run them if i have to (like when it's truly foggy, and crap...)

Anyone know how to vertically adjust our foglights???
