i have yet to get anything in the mail...

does the recall affect all MY00s or just certain VIN #s?

I recieved my letter as well. I have yet to see any problems, i.e. CE light. I need to get my front end re-aligned, so will make a appointment to do both.

Cheers

what do you have to bring to the dealership to get it fixed?, cause i bought it used from a friend and do you need documentations? also, if you have mods in your car wouldnt that limit you from the warranty or because its a recall so it wouldn't matter?

Cool

Subaru of SC is 831-420-1500.

I heard about the recall, but did not receive the letter. I went down on Sunday and had the sensor replaced. So you don't actually need the letter to get the sensor changed. Bruce can check then and there whether your car is affected by the recall. I would make appointments as it might get busy real fast. I finally received the letter yesterday.

I seriously doubt Subaru of Santa Cruz will care about any mods and will only give you the <IMG SRC="http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/icons/icon14.gif" border=0>. From what others have said, they are very cool about mods.

Also about time to do all this stuff....Bruce told me it would take an hour to and hour and half (for just mine). So I dunno how long it would take if the whole lot of us went at the same time. But I am down if you guys really wanna do this.

Has anyone mentioned the same problem in my01 imprezas? my "check engine" light came on sporatically for a few days. Custom intake was letting in particles and i think that might have messed up my mass airflow sensor. just trying to rule out any other ideas.

Would MY01 be included at all. It is the same exact car and I get rich mixture, hesitations, pretty crappy gas mileage etc.
Sometimes I think that mine is bogus but I have had no CE light. Anybody?

The letter states:

SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. has determined that some 2000 model year Subaru Legacy, and Outback models with automatic transmission, Impreza 2.5RS models with manual or automatic transmission and 2000/2001 Forester models with manual or automatic transmission may require replacement of the front oxygen (Air/Fuel Ratio) sensor.

so um...anyone calling to make us a group appointment? it might help if we knew who would like in one it...i'll start..

Me...but can't this saturday...
