Yea, that isn't that bad for a Ford. Of course there was probably little to no American involvement in the development of it, so that explains it.

see that thing on the stand right above the car in front of the wing (in the last pick), thats the engine of that car on a stand, most of what you see is the top mounted intercooler in which the hoodscoop goes to.

Ah yes but........ wait for it.......... Front Wheel Drive arrrgggghhhh

Ford will be launcing the Focus RS next year in the UK with 230bhp ish thats confirmed, what is not confirmed is whether they will do a 4WD version, opinion is that they will wait for the Focus replacement due in a couple of years as they can't get the thing to work with 4WD

Oh and American? nope designed in UK

Wink

Now all they need to do is make it AWD, and put the engine in the back seat. Just like the hot-rod Renault Clio.
Oh yeah, loose the wing and the wheels too.

I think that the spoiler is a bit much aswell. I hate seeing FWD cars with huge spoilers on the back. Or the "Mcdonalds arch" spoilers that are on the '97+ eclipses. They serve absolutely no perpose! I know that our scooby spoilers aren't exactly necesary but at least they serve some function other than asthetic. Just an opinion.

I personally think gawdiness does not last the test of time, but it's nice that they are at least "aware" of the sport compact market. Production is another story.

Something simpler like the Focus RS that Europeans will soon be tasting is more to my liking for FO MO CO.

FYI, in case you all didnt know, the focus was offered first over in europe, for im thinkin' 2 years before the offered it here. hence the lack of american involvement in development. plus american tuners suck.

Rear spoilers aren't rice on FWD cars. No matter where the power is being applied, you still need to keep the back end planted at high speeds for stability. It has just as much use on a FWD car as a RWD car. I would agree the size of that wing is a little ricey, but not in the sense that its not functional. Just in the sense that its a little over board.

Take the wing off and put the old tailights in, maybe the projector style like the Focus R. Man, looking back over the pic. Lose the pieces over the rear windows. The focus is an excellent car, their R project is what I think should go into production and maybe keep the wheels off this beast, they are different, especially for stock as well as the hood scoop. An all wheel drive option probably wouldn't see the US. Pretty cool concept though.

Pretty nice, but don't like the rims and the wing.
I think Cosworth looks better.
