Post new wrx going to have adj center dif???

I am not sure if anyone asked this question before, but does anyone know if the new wrx is going to have the adj center dif? I am asuming that it is also going to have limited slip...hopefully all around like the audi's. Any ideas?

Highly unlikely. Only the STi trims have those.

The Audi's don't have all around LSD's.... do they? it was my impression that the Quattro systems "diffs" were actually computer controlled brakes? when one wheel slips, the computer applies the brake to that wheel so the others are forced to spin. That's why they don't get any loss thru their system like most cars w/ LSDs do.

Yeah, that's right. Audi's don't have all around LSD's. They use the brakes to transfer the torque. That's why the one modified A4 in SCC couldn't hang with the modded-out eclipse gsx. The computer kept intervening whenever they tried to make the wheels slip during clutch-drops.

Well the UK spec WRX I sat in at the Motorshow over here certainly didn't have an adjustable centre diff.

In fact not even all STI's get adjustable centre diff, depends on exact spec etc.

Wasn't the 22B the only one to previously have an adjustable center diff? If thats the case, I wouldn't expect it to be on the next WRX or STI.

I've seen STi RA's and R's with the adjustable center diff. control, so it's not just the 22B.

mpaone is right, and the new STi Type RA does still have the adjustable center diff.
