Unhappy OBS vs Rotary (Dragstrip Video)

It's not one of the better videos. *sniffle* I had my as* handed to me in this one..hehe. I was bracket racing so no NOS was being used. Reaction time and consistency is the key. This particular race was during time runs, not eliminations. That's why we take off the same time. He Annihilated me!

You never want to stage next to a Rotary powered car with a short wheel base. Those things go all over the track. This guy kept it under control. Nothing exciting but it's still a Subaru racing. Fortunately, I made it to the 1/4 finals. I red-lighted with a .492 reaction time. *growl* It was fun and the trophy was cool. Enjoy!

Dude you sure got your @$$ kicked, ha j/k

Nice video, that little rotary sure did take of like it had somewhere to go real fast. I imagine it doesn't weigh very much. To bad you didn't have the NOS flowing.

Somewhere between 15.75 - 16.0. I have to find my timeslip. That's what I was running all day at that event.

Hmmm... Note to self: "Never try to race a car equipped with wheelie-bars".

We have an RX3 that dominates it's class in autocrossing - those things are wicked fast if set up right.

Question

Has anyone swapped a rotary engine into their 2.5RS? Jedon was contimplating doing this in this post: http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/Foru...ML/001866.html

Perhaps I should email him to see how things went. Here is a link to an 89 Subaru RX with a rotary engine in it: http://members.nbci.com/craigpage/PG04.HTM
Interesting indeed.

You should check out my local track, I have run against 10 second cars all of the time (wheelie bars, huge slicks, etc.)) and they just dissappear down the track. I'm ususally staged and ready when they are just starting their burnout.
