Default leaking heater core

I have an '02 wrx with 45,000 miles and last week I noticed a coolant smell in my car, which was later followed up by steam coming out of the drivers side vent. I'm positive there is a coolant leak at the heater core. I confirmed this as I have started pulling apart my dash and have seen coolant down there. Does anyone know what you need to do to get the heater core out?

It's a lot of work, the entire HVAC unit containing the heater core/evaporator has to come out. Your best bet if you plan to do this yourself is to go to http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/index.jsp and download the manuals for your car which will contain the procedure.
