Default Best Turbo RS repair/tuning shops in Oregon?

My RS-T caught fire after a fuel line sprung a leak and burned up most of the wiring harnesses, cables, hoses, etc in the engine bay. It's going to be quite a bit of work and i don't have time to do it myself (or the know-how), so i'm taking it to a shop. Fortunately i had it fully insured.

The car is at Capitol Subaru in Salem right now but they won't do the work the way i want it done. Due to Subaru policy and state/fed. laws they will only put it back to stock condition. Since the RS has a turbo kit on it, putting the fuel and electrical systems back to stock is not a good idea. Right now I'm thinking about taking the car to Rallitek in Portland.

Does anyone have any input about this, or suggestions for shops closer to my area (Salem/Eugene)?

Don't know about anyplace in the Salem area, but matrix Engineering up here in Portland has experience with turbo'd RS's. A friend of mine here atr work got a 1.8T swap into his 91 VW Golf done there, and was very happy with that work. And if I remember right, I think Matrix also once did a custom twin-turbo setup on a 2.5RS.

They mostly work with Euro cars (VW, mostly), but I know they do have prior experience with Subarus, and do good work.

hands down RalliTek is the place to go for this, they have the most experience w/ the aftermarket turbo kits and related effects.

Matrix is okay, but like the other post says, they deal mostly with german cars.

I recommend Shaun, Mike , and the guys at Rallitek. They do great work, and Shaun is one of the most knowledgeable suby guys in the NW.

good luck

Steve

Does Rallitek only do performance stuff or do they also do general maintenance?

Might want to check the date on the thread. I commend you for searching. This info was spot on back then, Shaun was the best. Rallitek no longer exists as a shop, they are a brand of parts.

If your in Salem call Surgeline, they go performance stuff and general maintenance.
