Issue with swapping MY93 heads on a MY98 L

I'm thinking of swapping MY93 1.8 L heads onto a MY98 2.2 L.

I figure the dual exhaust ports will offer better flow and open up more options for headers, turbo kits, etc.

Does anyone know of any issues with fitment, ECU compatibility, flow differences, other issues?

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

you would e much better off getting heads of a phase 2 2.2l as the combustion chambers were redesigned and the heads are much nicer then the phase 1 heads.

Oh, I agree but these were offered at an unbeatable price... hence the choice.

I might look into porting the 1.8 heads anyway.
