Default white smoke

comes out of my exhaust in a big cloud only when i reverse and only once in a blue moon. . what gives?

Typically, white smoke is an indication that coolant is getting into your cylinders. Please list mods to your car. Also, check your coolant levels to make sure they're OK.

By his description it sounds more like an innocent case of condensation in the exhaust system.

Hmm ... I won't deny that it's possible. How white is the smoke? Is it really white? Or is it more like a greyish white? If it's pretty white, that would lead me to believe that it's coolant. If it's a greyish white, then Kean is likely correct.

i would say greyish/white smoke. . hopefully it's condensation. . i checked all my fluid levels and they are all fine. .
