I use to have a WRX :(

Thumbs up VF24 turbo...

Picked one up used.I know theres bigger and better turbos out there but for an everyday driver I cant believe how much this turbo increased my low and mid+top. It maxes out @17psi effiency wise but for what I do with my car its perfect.

You are exactly right! I replaced my vf24 with vf30. I am a bit disappointed because I too like the low to mid range. I am contemplating having deadbolt inspect and rebuild vf24 and then have Shiv tune it. I don't really care about the top end stuff. Those top end tickets can be very costly. The low/mid range tickets are small and easier to digest. Tickets are an evil we face every day. dburns@oel.state.nj.us

This is pretty funny. Last October, I bought the above wagon with a VF24 from Camperguy. In a week or two I'm swapping the VF24 for a VF30, just like you did. The VF24 is also getting sent to Deadbolt, but only for a rebuild, if neccessary. I'm looking for more top-end, because the VF24 isn't cutting it in certain circumstances. Right now I'm getting 231.5 whp (Dyno Dynamics), which is pretty good, but I'm wanting 250 or so.
