Default Stevens Creek Subaru WRECKED my WRX.....

I am so fu**in pissed. uhhhhhhhhhhh.............

OK, yesterday I took my car to Stevens Creek Subaru for it's 15,000 miles service. couple hours later i go back the dealership and i signed the payper work to get my car back. i handed the papers to one of the workers out side and he pulled my car to the front of the lot. now as he pulled up toward me i saw this white spott on the front of my hood and right away i thought it was bird S**T, because i had couple other ones on the car. So i drove the car off to my house, which is like 5 min from the dealership. i got out of the car and i saw a dent in my hood and realized that it wasn't bird S**T, that was stuck on my hood it was actually white paint from another vehicle. OMG, i got so mad i called Subaru and talked to Marcus, who works in the service department, and i told him the story. this is like after 10min from the time i picked up my car. This is what really pissed me off. The first thing that came out of his mouth was "Sir, we can't do anyting for you" OMG i was about to throw my fu**in phone out of the window. thats how pissed i was......at that time i had to go to school (DE Anza on Stevens Creek) , so i didn't go the dealership right away. 1. becuase he told me that the service manager was not there and i would have to come back tomarrow(which is today). 2. i couldn't miss my class, because they are really strict with summer school and drop students if they are apsent. Anyway, i'm going down there rightnow to talk to the service manager. I just hope that i don't loose my temper, and go all crazy. I'll keep you guys informed about what happens.

Please advice me on how i should handle this situation......

Well, First off...WHY STEVEN'S CREEK? We have all read the horror stories about those scam artists.

2...you may be SOL because you signed for the car. Maita jacked up my car when it was 2 days old. The stupid window put a dent from his hand in the rear pillar. I signed for the service though.

I don't know...maybe call SOA...maybe get a lawyer? or, try dent pro...they are about $60. You probably should have done the service yourself...

Good luck,

Andy

I cant say anythin about the service department but even the two salesmen I have spoken with werent very good at that dealer. I told them exactly what I wanted, and they tried selling me a wrx. I told him the wrx was nice but I wasnt interested and he asked if I wanted a test drive

They did the same thing to my 98 RS. they drove it up and there was half the front bumper GONE. then they had the nerve to tell me that it was like that when I brought it in.
Needless to say I made them fix it or my representative was gonna help them make a better choice

Stevens Creek has got to be the worst dealer in the friggin country. :monkey:

I wish there was some way of letting everybody know how horrible they are. They are literally in the business of ripping people off and dumping on the cars that people bring back to them.

I hope you get them to pay up for this. I sure as heck wouldn't give them the car back to fix. They'd break something else on it.

sounds good, i'd go for a couple hours.. we could make a meet out of it and tell everyone who goes in the dealership about their service and refer them to redwood city or santa cruz... its gotta say something when the side of the street is lined up with subaru's and everyone is unhappy... if we'd stop one sale, we'd probably cost them more than fixing the hood...

Hehe - I would totally show up for that. Just think how much of an impact it would be to have 10-20 Subaru drivers standing next to their cars with signs saying "Stevens Creek are Crooks" "Don't trust Stevens Creek" and "Stevens Creek will rob you blind"

Yes, weekend meet in front of Steven's Creek Suabru.

Tell everyone who tries to go in that they're much better off going to SC or Carlsen

I've seen a one or two person thing against a Dodge dealer in San Diego, but imagine if we lined the sidewalk (public property)

Just make some flyers that have something to the extent of:

"Hi we're part of a club of Subaru enthusiasts, and based on the experiences members in our club have had in dealing with Steven's Creek Subaru we have deemed Steven's Creek Subaru the worst Subaru dealer in the Bay Area. We feel the percentage of bad experiences with this dealer is inordinate and too high to merely be coincidental. As a public service we are here to strongly recommend you take your business to other local dealers, like Subaru of Santa Cruz or Carlsen Subaru in Redwood City instead."

Then list a couple of the stories.

as far as car dealerships go, steven's creek subaru is probably about as close to evil as you'll ever get.

should someone start a "SC Subaru Protest Rally" thread? Maybe one here, and merge with one in the warranty issues section??

If you are going to be handing out flyers, make sure anything written on them is factual. Also try to be as unemotional as possible while still getting your point across. I would not want the wankers at SC to sue any i-club members for lible or slander. I have had a couple negative experiences at that dealership in both sales and service. In my opinion they are unprofessional, unorganized and incompetant. If we organize a protest, I'd make an effort to show up.

I hope you get some resolution to your problem, Amir. I'm sure you already know this, but in the future, do business with Santa Cruz or Redwood City. They are both top notch!

I just got my car back from Stevens Creek Subaru. After a long talk with the Service Manager( Mo Pashtunyar), he said that the best he could do is to try to clean it up and use touchup paint. He said that, "they are not responsible for any damage caused to the car or anything stolen from the vehicle while the car is under their care. He also said that since I already signed, that Iíve received the car, legally they don't have to fix anything for me.

Anyway, they cleaned up the spot a little. They said they couldn't fix the ding, and the paint chip is still noticeable. So basically I got screwed. I'm going to write a letter to Subaru and let them know how bad their service is. I will take every chance of screwing them over. (Like showing up at the dealership and letting the public know how they could prevent themselves from getting f**ked=(thanks to "darmom" and everyone else who came up with this idea on this thread).

Today while I was at Stevens Creek Subaru, I saw 3 different individuals complaining about their service. One of the individuals was asked to leave the service room and talk outside where there was nobody else. I also spoke to another individual who was really angry and he quoted that "The Stevens Creek Subaru Service Reps are the biggest bunch of s**t eating, monkey f**king motherf**kers).

BTW, this is really important: when you go to take your car for service. Before you sign anything ask the service adviser to inspect you car before you let them take the car. " This is what the service manager said". Also when you go to pickup your car after its been serviced, DO NOT sign the paperwork until you see that your car is in the same exact condition as when you dropped it off. This way they don't have a signature from you that states you've received the car.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me in this manner.

Amir,

Jeez. they're not legally obligated to fix it, cause you signed off, that's true enough.. ALWAYS inspect your car after service. there was a scratch on my fender after my 15k at SantaCruz, and I pointed it out before finishing, and they buffed it out, no qusetions asked.

but this is a matter of legality vs doing what's right. They have no legal obligation to fix the ding after you've taken delivery, but it would be the right thing to do, cause they KNOW it happened there..

Mabey we should organize a saturday meet up at Stevens Creek, and see how many customers we can turn away.

"ya hi, im here for my car?"
"sorry, we blew your motor trying to fix it, and then while that happened, one of our silly mechanics set it on fire while he was having a margarita. we are not responsible for damage to your car while it is on our premise under our care, so please take a look at some of our newer models that i can give u a great deal on."

Agreed, if I were a dealership then I would sue for libel (written defamation) or slander (oral defamation) regardless of what was written or said at a protest. You're talking about a company and its livelihood, it would have no choice but to attempt to protect it's reputation. Please note that in the case of libel and in some cases slander, the company does not need to prove that any damage was done (I believe the law automatically assumes damage occured if libel/slander is proven).

I'm not a lawyer, just my understanding from some business law classes that got forced on me in college...you're mileage may vary.
