Anyone notice the the latest round of pics of the MY02 WRX shows
S U B A R U

on the trunk with the
W R X
IMPREZA
badge underneath?

What happened to the
I M P R E Z A
badge we were seeing before

Man that's sad to have a Civic owner to correct you on the spelling of your car's mfg name!

Who cares. I'll debadge everything once I purchase mine in a few years.

Badges fall onto my list of priorities right below the color of the OEM air filer element

Different markets badge the car differently. We'll probably get the big SUBARU letters.

Plenty of people will be selling these 5 cent pieces of plastic for $50.00 I am sure.

I would debadge my car (remove the Si badge and DOHC VTEC stickers) but then again i dont want every EX/DX/LX civic, RS/LS integra, mirages, tercels etc owners revving on me constantly

Although my car, being black, with 20% tint all around

, would look badass (imo) all debadged .. I havent gotten around to it.

When i have my WRX, im surely going to debadge it!!

Those of you who own imprezas, try this: debadge everything on your car (you can leave the front badge as it doest say subaru on it)
leavy no trail of : impreza, subaru, 2.5RS or even the little AWD sticker.. then proceed to get parking tickets (not moving violation ones because the cop would ask for your license etc and it says make/model) and laugh at the funny results (see what they write in your ticket stub under make/model!!

Im guessing your average cop would have NO idea what kind of car it is without seeing badges, or registration.

By the way, there was an interesting letter in SCC this month. Seems that guy bought an Acura CL Type S, and had the "Type S" badge stolen off his car twice. He was quite irate, as you would expect, especially considering that anyone can buy the badge themselves for $15 at the dealer.

yeah i remembered that article. it was quite funny. who cares about badges? i know i don't. i want to debadge the new WRX one (if and when i get one) is to prevent err....so called "other" imprezas from stealing it and put it on their err so called performance Impreza. Know wut I mean?

I took my license test in my RS (after de-badging) and the instructor wouldent let me take the test because she didn't believe it was a Subaru. And thought I didn't have insurance. She ended up having to check the VIN # to make sure.

Right on Larry... I love the look that people give me, considering most american car owners don't have a clue of what an Impreza is.... all they know is that a SUBARU blew by them. It so funny as their heads turn! HA HA
