I assume you have to leave all those Hellas off this time of year to prevent starting fires!

I normally like the fall. It's quite beautiful in the vineyards, except it's #$%@ing cold here right now. Unfortunately, I'm a California boy. I'm not used to this cold weather!

Thumbs up

I wish I could get pictures like that. What is this season you speak of.... "autumn"? We've gone right from stupid hot to cold, dank, and windy. Hopefully we'll get a little fall this year. I'll try to get some good shots.
Today's question: How do you get cedar trees to change into pretty fall colors?
Answer: Set them on fire.

Hey Subie Gal, are you using a digital camera for those? Or an SLR and then scanning them in? They look nice either way. Are you using any filters to bring out the colors?

Just watch the wet leaves, they can be treacherous! My first car got up close and personal with a Pennsylvania corn field due to some slickery traction conditions.

I was up near Seattle in Spring visiting a local biotech company - very pretty. The leaves were just staring to bud.

Here's a pic of the area I live in. I live on the hill middle right in the picture.

This shot was from early fall, I believe. The leaves are all gone now. My car is the blue 2000 coupe about halfway up the hill - see it?

I'm with Travis, all we get is spring, summer, a week of fall, and about two weeks winter if you add up all the cold days.

What is autumn, really? right before the leaves fall off? I wouldn't know.

The meteorologist and I always talk on my morning show about how slippery wet leaves are this time of year. Take heed people - they are slick!

Here is a picture of mine. The leaves weren't on the ground yet, but colors were incredible.
