Default KYB AGX or GR2?

I know the AGX doesn't apply for our Legacies but it does for the RS's and have heard that these struts would work for the BDs. For you guys that have this on your car was there any fitment issues? And whats the part # for these struts.

If i can't the AGX i was thinking of getting the GR2. Has anybody tried these struts? How well do they handle and the ride (comfy, rough).

Thanks, V

If you don't plan on making a bunch of shock setting adjustments, get the GR-2's.

Go with the GR-2's. They are set to the most commonly used AGX setting 2f/4r. I have the AGX and wish I had gone with the GR-2 that is specific for our cars.

would i still be able to use my stock spring if i go with the GR2 or AGX? And if i need to change it, which spring gives the least drop?

I'm thinking of going for the GR2 since its a lot cheaper ($76f/$68r).

i asked this same question about a month ago or so because i have impreza agx shocks on my bd... just not on the car yet. there should be no fitment issues, the perch will sit a little higher in the front than the rear by about 1/2 inch or so. try doing a search about it type in struts legacy and you should see it with me as the thread starter.

both the GR-2 and AGX will work with your stock springs....but...I recommend to do the springs as well. You do not want to do all that labor twice, just get the springs.

As for the least drop....Whitelines.

I think you can get stock ride height or 1 inch drop.

Consider hardened top hats as well, the STI units specifically work great and can be had for about 200 all four corners.

if you get the gr2s then you dont have to worry about the bad gap from using the agxs ment for the rs.

I actually got mine for LESS than 200 becuase I picked them up locally. Just find someone who has 93+ impreza mounts, they are very cheap.

With my car I had to get some spring seats as well, since my rear mounts are a single piece but otherwise they are great.

http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/subsus.htm

200 for all 4 SHIPPED!

Thats the place I picked them up, they are local to me.

Worst case you will need to purchase the spring plate to match the mounts from the dealer. Still worth it though.

Does Eibach have an inch drop springs as well? i asked Dale at TeaguesAuto and he said that Eibach would have em (he doesn't carry Whitelines products anymore) but wasn't sure if it was actually an inch.

I'm am going to get springs as well when i order the struts but don't wanna drop it that low.

THANKS for helping me out guys!!! Its greatly APPRICIATED
