I made it home alright, it ran COLD the whole way following Alex and Shiv leading the pack with the Focus @90+

Sorry, to hear about the slow trip home.

I'll let you know what happens with my car.

And, it was a Great Day, Sunny too

, I just wish I could had driven every minute of every session. Oh Well, next time.

And why, do tell, were the headlights on teh WRX not taped off? Was someone perhaps hoping an errant rock would seek them out?

Im mad now...

Guess what I did today?

Thats right. Nothing.

I went to class, came home... And did nothing...

I know I could have only gotten there by 3, but it would have been better than nothing!

Anyway...

Howd the WRX do? Did people get to ride in it? Whats up with the Legacy OB Sedan?

Who had the best times? How many people showed up (including just folks watching)?

deepbeep,

Nope. The tape is there to keep glass from getting on the track in an impact. Since I wasn't planning on hitting anyone today.....

Gary... LOL.. I know what the glass is there for. It was merely a wisecrack.

It looks like that's the SPO Syms Legacy... That thing was great to ride in at the last track day!

I was trying to get her to let me take it, but she didnt want the miles on it, but I didnt go anyway

Hey Gary...don;t people also tape their lights in case track debris thrown up by a car in front breaks them...I know I do.

I saw that happen at LSIR...a BMW caught the edge of the track and threw up some BMW undercarriage metal and rocks. The car behind took the metal stripping across the hood, smashing the front left cluster, all of which stayed on the car due to the tape. That meant I didn't have to run over them...

Just wondering...I know nothing.

Yes, you're right. I'm sure you know much more than nothing. Lots of folks that first see the tape on the headlights think it's to protect the lights from flying debris. If something is going to hit a headlight hard enough to break it, a little tape isn't going to help much.

We didn't tape the headlights because we've heard that the new WRX is indestructible. We made it through the day without broken headlights, so it must be true!
