Default CV boots broke

And now i have a decision to make 1 i can buy boots that i can put on myself without taking the axle or i can pay 250$ for a mechanic that will profesionally remore the broken ones and put a new ones in there .... can someone suggest me what to do and how important this is anyways .. coz maybe the self-put ones are okay for me (dont race the car 2 much and dont really go above 70) .. maybe its not a big deal ?

If you're referring to the "split" type boot kits that go on without removing the axle, I don't recommend it. These may be cheaper and easier in the short term but once the boot breaks and the car is driven that way for a while the grease leaks out and dirt gets in. If you don't remove the axles and clean and re-grease the joints before replacing the boots, the joints are almost guaranteed to fail later on (maybe not much later either). This type of repair is false economy, it's best to do it right the first time.
You may be able to get some remanufactured exchange axles for not much more than the boot repair would cost.

I'd go for a new half shaft or remanafactured one also. I just replaced mine last week after it starting to fail a few months ago. There is nothing worse than hearing a clicking when you try to make sharp turns.

Mine was in the rear though so it was bearable

I had two outside boots go withing a week of each other last year, left then a week later right. I was at schoool at the time and needed them done ASAPcause i had a track even the coming weekend. It cost $140 each time. removed, cleaned, inspected, repacked with grease, new boots, and reinstalled. At the local dealership.
