Cool Alaska Subaru Drive and Lunch

Hello Everyone,
Well the date and time has been picked for the drive and get together this weekend. I will post the details below. If anyone who is going to attend could please respond with how many people will be having lunch so that I can try to determine if I need to make reservations or not. The details for the event are below, and please let me know if you have any questions:

Date: Sunday April 22nd, 2001
Time: 11:00 am
Place: Meet at the Sears parking lot, NE corner (Corner of Seward Hwy & N. Lights)

We will wait until approximately 11:15 am, to allow for people running late, and then we will head out towards Girdwood. I am going to try and make reservations for lunch around 1:00pm. That will give us time to drive nice and slow and get some good pictures taken along the way. It looks like we are going to have at least 3 WRX's show up, and are hoping we can track down a few more before the get together. Well let me know if you have any questions or suggestions on this, and I hope to see you all next weekend.

Later,

Kris Oldenburg

Eric,
You should know that there is no such thing as a free lunch, especially not at Chair 5.

Hello fellow Alaskans. I don't have a Subaru currently(integra gsr) so I won't be participating in the drive. Plus, coincidentally I've already got plans to go skiing at Alyeska this Sunday(I'll be going down early though, so I can't tag along). I will keep an eye out for the suby arrival from up on the mountain.

Did you know Alyeska has an Outback Wagon with Alyeska pictures and USSA(united states ski association) logos painted along the side. It's usually parked in the main lot close to the bus parking. It would make a good picture to have all your Suby's crouded around that thing with the mountain in the background.

Oh yea, and just to warn you they are having their spring carnival this weekend and it's going to be a zoo. Lots of events on sunday and traffic will surely be bad. Unless you're staying for the events, try to get out of there before about 4:30 or 5:00. That's when the slush cup and the last snowmachine event should be over and lots of people will all be leaving at the same time.

Cool

Eby,
Thanks for the heads up on the spring splash at ALyeska, I had forgotten about that! Hopefully we will be able to get into Chair 5, but if not I will figure out an alternate plan. Well that is too bad that you cannot tag along, but thanks again for the heads-up, and we will see you at the next get together. BTW, if you need anything for your Integra, let me know.

Eric....sure McDonalds in Mt. View, we will all meet you there!!

Eric,
The drive is at the same location and place, and sure you can bring your Honda, as soon as it gets All Wheel Drive and a flat four. Well hope to see everyone tomorrow, as everything is a go, and hopefully the weather will cooperate.
