Default BAD O2 sensor? How do you check?

So, if my car is running kind of poorly and fits some of the symptoms of a bad O2 sensor is there a way to check and see if that is the problem without just throwing down the cash to replace a part that might, or might not be bad?

My car has 104K on it. I bought it used about 60k ago and haven't put a new one on it.

Thanks

Jared

Get a Haynes manual for your car, and get a multimeter. Test the sensor according to the manual, and determine if the sensor is good or not.

Also keep in mind, if the sensor has a true, honest problem, then it should throw a CEL...
