Post spoiler

Ah well if you lookin for an opinion of a good spoiler that looks good i would go with the Mirage "evo VI" spoiler but I'm not too sure about how that would look on a legacy. One of the nice things about cars is that pretty much anything can look good.

To each there own.

You could be different by removing your spoiler, for a clean, uncluttered look. That way it wouldn't be so rice-a-rific.

Our car's don't go over 124mph, so a larger spoiler will only slow them down and decrease performance, not to mention destroy the car's natural good looks.
But, hey, to each their own

I agree, high and weird looking spoilers just make car looks lame. I was always oposed of putting spoiler that's higher than cars roof top. After all just take look at one of these so called "hondas." People put some lame stuff on them.. agh.. I hate hondas... grrrr.. gives me shimmers..

I'm going to agree, the stock spoiler is very tasteful. The EVO's and STi's have them to serve a purpose, don't make it like rice by having to have a wing.

zolis23 -

Have you seen the spoiler risers that fit under the stock spoiler to give it a taller, more agressive look without "spoiling" the GT's lines? I'd check those out as an inexpensive, effective alternative to a big nasty spoiler.
I think GTBGUY is selling them, but it sounds like it may be a bit of a wait.
Good luck!

Ya, I too don't like those tall spoilers, cept for the GC8's and STi's.
The stock one looks good. You can also remove it and have no spoiler, and depending on the cars setup this can look better than any spoiler. If you really want one, then maybe look into a stock 2.5RS or WRX wing. But I wouldnt get anything tall.

Is this what you had in mind?

I personally like it and would put it on my Legacy ONLY if I could get the side skirts, front bumper and grill to complete the look.

As others have said already, the stock spoiler goes well with the lines of the car and the OEM GT body kit. This is the general consensus response in this forum because most of the Legacy guys are conservative fellows who don't want bling bling and huge wings, otherwise we would have bought Impreza's!

But I say go for whatever you like because you're driving the car.

Here's my baby spoiler-less on a whim for track work (note the track wheels and Kumhos).

Amazing how different it looks without the spoiler on there.

I saw some aerodynamic tests on the Impreza spoiler and they showed that you would be better off performance wise not having the stock one at all. In order to get a performance increase you would need one up at the roofline and those things look godawful.

Jacobhorn...
What is wrong with your legacy? It doesn't go faster than 124? Maybe you should get it checked out by a mechanic or get a tune up or something....

I don't get the max speed thing (especially since we're talking Legacy's). Acceleration, braking, and cornering are what matters. I'll kick the speed up in some highway areas, but if you go too long you're just going to get a ticket. Whipping through some S-curves and pushing the car is where I get my thirills, not to mention where AWD is the best.
