Default Cross Post: IC leak help!

I have an IC leak and I need some suggestion on how to address it. It's not visable, it's somewhere down in the core. Is there some sort of liquid sealing option? If it needs to be sent out any recommendations, any local shop I can bring it to?

liquid sealing isn't an option as anything you put in will find it's way into your motor. If you can't afford to have it welded and can pin point the leak (and the leak is small) you can mickey mouse it and try JB weld... lot of if's there though.

What kind of intercooler are you using?

I'm curious how you know the intercooler is leaking. I'm pretty sure I have the same one you do, the JC Sports kit one right?

You could maybe pinpoint it a little better by pouring some gasoline through there, and looking for exactly where the leak is coming from. There is a radiator repair place near my house, it's in South Boston, called "Albany Radiator". You can give them a call and maybe they can help you...

Default How I know about the leak

Yes it is the JC sports IC. I know I have a leak because all of a sudden I found oil on the IC fins and not anywhere near where it could come out an exhisting opening. Then there was the less boost shown on the gauge and less power. I have since taken off the IC sealed it up and pumped air into it under water. The leak is somewhere in the core. I am not sure how I would get at it if I was to use the JB weld approach. I will call some radiator places on monday since I will be up at Amherst. I might also look up the place you suggested. I am intrested in your gas approach?
Thanks,
Joshua

I just suggested gas over water. Gas won't ruin a motor.

It also has the benefit of cleaning any built-up oil inside there.
