rotate them front to rear every 5-6k mi...

Yes, just torque them to the appropriate values and rotate them as Matt outlined (front to back same side). Easy enough to do yourself. I'm just too lazy and since the shop I buy tires from will do it for free I don't bother.

but yes rotate your tires every other oil change, and keep up on the pressures.
