Post Get it together subaru, or Burnsy is toast!

How good is Grunholm. Man this guy is quite an amazing driver. All prejudice aside, he is doing great in his first full year in the WRC. And he has very good equipment. Bottom line is Burnsy is plagued by poor reliability. If its not the gearbox its something else. Subaru had this title in the bag, but all those races (3 in a row) without point scored by Burns shows that the Subaru has problems with reliability. It pains me to say this, but I worry every time I see the SWRC jump or hit a bump to hard. It may break. When the car is reliable, Burns is just about the best out their. Subaru needs to get a handle on these reliability issues or we will all be celebrating Pugeots WRC victory!
What makes matters worse is that we used to worry about Fords reliability, and it was their main problem. Not so this year, its under control and now its subaru that is breaking themselves out of contention. I realize it's a new car, but we have to get it together!

SCRAPPYDO

Come on guys…. Get that thing buttoned up and reliable! Because if you think Pugeot is bad this year, wait until the new Lancer hits us next year!

Grunholm wins because of the car plain and simple... that car is put together very well and is quite reliable...

Burnsy??? the best out there... no... i dont think so... but he's one of the best... you have to keep an eye on that McRae guy... that guy is damned fast.

Burns needs to avoid retirement... plain and simple.. no more hitting rocks... no more broken cars.... and we will do well.

Also... keep an eye on that Juha guy... i hear he's pretty quick too!!!

I have faith. These last 2 races are going to be exciting as can be and we rally fans will be following every single stage with HUGE anticipation.

Question

where do you all catch the action, on tv, or just reading material, or? I would sure like to see it instead of just reading about it.

Scrappy,

Don't blame Subaru, they barely make any of the rally car components. It's a Prodrive product, including the gearbox.

SubiGal, I did not mean to come across as saying he is the best out thier. I did mean exactly what you said. He is one of the best out thier, but not the best per say.

well I cant speak for SubiGal, but I get my info from speedvision.com and from watching the rallies on TV. I read articles when I find them and listen to any commentary I can get a hold of. The truth is out their my friends..

There are two rallys left in the season. The Rally of Australia will be on speedvision on Nov. 27 at 8:00pm EST and the Network Q Rally (Britain) on speedvision Dec. 11 at 9:00pm EST. As much as I would like to see Burns win, I am still going for Colin Mcrae. I think he is the smoothest driver out there and exiting to watch (he also makes a killer video game!).
