Default ecu for a97 gt auto

I know i should of waited and found a manual but anyways i read that you can use impreza ecu in the legacy is that true and if so

what is the best and easiest way to do so
what kind of horse power can you see
will it harm my engine
is it just a straight swap
i dont have turbo

thanks for any help

Dont think any difference will be found, the HP specs are the same for the matching Impreza with the same engine.

yeah the engines are all tuned the exact same, there is no hp to be found. There are JDM aftermarket ecus for the legacy TT but I highly doubt the japanese would bother remaping our 2.5.
