Post Has anyone else had their insurance go up?

Mine did. I've yet to ask GEICO why but ya think it's all the Imprezas getting into accidents or the hype about the WRX? Maybe my county has gotten worse with accidents and car theft? Sheesh.....

I feel like going postal. $60 increase? I haven't had a ticket in 12 years!

Since i threatened to leave my current insurance company 1-1/2 years ago i've seen my rates steadily drop to more pleasing payments. I guess the thought of losing 2 auto, 2 life and a home owners policy was enough to get them to reconcider my account

Uh, my Legacy GT went down (with Allstate), to $750 yearly. I wonder if all of the RS mayhem, intentional or otherwise, isn't beginning to show insurers a track record...

I think other RS drivers received larger bills, too. I seem to recall a thread on this.

I'm yet to see mine for this quarter... I know it's going to go up since I have State Farm and all that crap they're putting through to change their plans, but still...

8Complex - If you've been with State Farm for at least 3 years, tell your agent you want to be switched to their Mutual plan. It will drop your rates by 40-50%.

I have State Farm Mutual on both Subaru's for 1200 per year (about $600 per car), full coverage. Plus in the Mutual plan you get dividends (money) back on your policy each year if you don't have any claims, we got $75 back last year!

Hope this helps!

I guess I got off easy, as my insurance with State Farm only went up 15 bucks for both of my cars.

Doh! Already on the mutual plan. Oh well. *shrug*

Oh and my insurance on my car only went up $52/year, but I'm on a family plan so that definetly had an influence there...

Snoopy,
Maybe someone tipped off your insurance company about the way you drive karts?

I'll buy those TE-37s of you to help defray your insurance costs. Anything to help a buddy!

Geico was WAY expensive when I was shopping 2 years ago. Went with AIG. No increases yet.

I'm sure mine is going to go up after my ONLY accident. Probably because it got totaled.

We had just gotten our dividends from both of our cars, 15.00 each, then the next month my rates went up about $60 for the year. Go figure. MY00 RS and a MY94 SC2
