What does eBay cost a seller?

I just signed up for eBay, but I have no clue what they're talking about. Do they charge for being a member or just when you sell something. Do they charge only if you sell, and if so is it a percent or what. I really want to start selling stuff on there because I realize some people will pay a whole lot for anything-cough--RE92's--cough. So can somebody please give me some simple answers to some simple questions. Thanks, any help will be greatly appreciated.

The quick and nasty... eBay is apparently considering some form of flat rate charge for selling stuff on there. For now, you pay a very small listing fee, and then you pay a % of the final high bid price. The % is different for different kinds of items. For a little more info, look here:
